About us
The Wilhelm Tatje KG is a family-run company with a tradition of more than 70 years, which as a trading house and as an exclusive agent is engaged in technical advice and sole distribution of machine tools and industrial equipment in East Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The business activity comprises furthermore the import as well as the national and international distribution of precision tools.
The head office of the Wilhelm Tatje KG is in Berlin. From there we attend to our customers and suppliers with a multi-lingual indoor service. Here we also operate our own distribution centre for the business unit “precision tools“ for metal cutting, which occupies an area of 1.500m² with a stock of more than 400t of tools and an integrated quality control.
Our core business is the representation of well-known European and international manufacturers of machine tools, in which we can draw upon more than 70 years of experience. All our field representatives have a qualified engineering education and several years of experience in the use of machine tools. They are deployed according to their professional career and entrusted with a product field in which they are at the customers’ disposal with their competence and together with our suppliers they develop a professional solution to any problem. Due to the fact that our field offices at the business locations Leipzig, Warsaw, Brno and Ostrava are staffed with multi-lingual employees, we achieve a customer proximity which enables us to act and react at short notice.
In addition to the distribution of machine tools, we also offer in collaboration with the machine manufacturers we represent our own maintenance and repair-service in Berlin. Our service employees are continuously trained by the manufacturers and they are technically always up-to-date in order to guarantee a fast and professional assistance.
For many decades, the Wilhelm Tatje KG has continuously its own booth at national and international trade fairs, for example at the INTEC Leipzig, the STOM in Kielce, the MTP in Poznan and the MSV in Brno.
